From Surviving to Thriving :)

The past few years have been about surviving at the Sheffield residence (especially for me) but this year is off to a wonderful start and I really feel that we are in the "thriving mode".  I know that sounds weird but I really am excited about a lot of new changes that will be happening in 2012!  For those who really know me understand that I usually don't like change at all.

I haven't been able to blog lately and it's beginning to nag at my inner psyche so I am going to attempt to catch up and get back into a routine.

The kids are awesome and I am so fortunate to me their mom! They both love school and the church nursery now and that makes my heart so happy.  They fight over anything and everything and I try not to end up in the middle unless I fear bloodshed.

After losing a few pounds here and there and then gaining all of them back I finally talked my husband into letting me try AdvoCare.  I am on what they call the 24 Day Challenge and I have lost 8 lbs and 7 1/2 inches!!! The inches are what really matter because I am a whole size smaller than I was when I started.  I have felt like a teenager again and Marvin noticed the change so quickly that he decided to get on it too.  Of course he is doing great and has already lost double what I have!! Since both of us are taking the products I decided to start selling it too.  (like I needed another job :))  I know it's not for everyone but if you want to try it give me a call!

It really is awesome to have such a supportive husband and he has been just that! And this week will start my new year of regular and consistant blogging.  It will be easier now that my wonderful husband drilled a hole in the back of our desk allowing us to lower the monitor.  I was getting neck pains from looking up so far!

We took the kids to Jackson a couple of Saturdays ago to eat at The Cock of The Walk and to the Children's Museum.  It's kind of become a tradition to take them to the zoo in the fall and the museum before Marvin gets busy planting.  They loved the ducks and had a great time at the museum.
