Sky Lake

Lisa invited me and Stacy and the kids for a picnic lunch and trip to a famous tree at sky lake.  I had no idea there was such a neat place only 30 minutes from my house!  We had a blast and the walk to the tree is completely fenced in so the kids could just run.  They had a blast up until the last 5 minutes and Camden fell and scraped her knee :(  Watching you child get hurt is one of the hardest things in the world.

I am so glad we got to do this and I can't wait to go back!

AdvoCare Before and After

I'm not at my goal weight yet but I've come a long way since January 20th. For our family this has been so much more than weight loss. These products have given us the ability to easily make healthy choices for ourselves and our children. The weight loss and healthy diet has solved several different health issues for both of us. And made me feel like a new person all together. If you know anyone who might want to hear more I'm always available to share our story.

Nana's Birthday Part 1

As you know we went to visit Mama Sunday (March 3rd) and Friday (March 9th) night we had more birthday celebration fun and all gathered to eat out in McCarley.  Below are some pictures of the kids on Sunday....

Silver Pin

I am not the brightest crayon in the box!!! I reached/pinned Silver in AdvoCare last pay period and today I got a package in the mail with an actual silver pin!!!! Woo hoo!!! I had no clue I would receive an actual pin :) This year I am planning on pinning Gold, 3 Star Gold, and Ruby! Can't wait to have a whole box of AdvoCare pins and a whole group of people taking control of their life in health and finances!!!

Today my wonderful husband turns 35!!! I can't imagine my life without him for even a second.  I know I could not be the mother I am if it were not for his love and support.  I am so blessed to have a man that allows me to live out my dreams everyday and be home with my babies!!  Thank you Marvin for all you do and for all you put up with!! We love you!!!

God is Alive

Last night at 11:00 a verse came to my mind and would not leave.  Its a verse that I have heard my whole life Proverbs 3:6 and probably learned in Bible Drill as a teenager. The verse itself is fairly straightforward but it was as if God was saying "What does this verse not say?"...I'll explain.  The verse says "In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he will direct your paths." But I kept hearing God say not just in ways that you want to acknowledge Me.  This really hit me and I kept thinking how I tend to only talk to God about certain areas of my life.  I also really want His guidance in a few specific areas right now and am not hearing anything specific from Him.  To me that verse is conditional meaning that once I turn over all areas of my life then I will receive the guidance and path I should take.  Again this is just my interpretation of the verse but it kept me up thinking about it and I am going to make some changes as a result of it.

Cascilla

A couple of weeks ago me and the kids went to Cascilla to visit my grandmother (Granny). It was windy that day but the sun was shining and the kids love exploring in her yard. We decided to go for a walk to the closest pond on her land and they had a blast. I love that place and although I'm from Indianola, I always feel like Cascilla is really my home.

Happy Birthday Nana!!!!

Today is my wonderful Mother's birthday!!! We got to spend most of the day with her yesterday so she is probably at home recouping from the grands visit but I am glad we got to see her close to her birthday!!! She was the recipient of my latest projects including the cake-pops! So maybe one of those will help fuel her for the day :)

Family Fun Day

Today has been wonderful!  We got up early and went to Jackson to visit a dear friend in the hospital.  Camden and I got to visit with her for a little while and Marvin and Neil went shoe shopping for Marvin some work boots.  After the visit we went to Stix for lunch. The kids have never experienced a Hibatchi grill before and Neil loved every minute of it especially the large plate of rice.  Camden was not thrilled about the fire, but she loosened up a little once the flames subsided.  We made a quick stop by Target so I could pick up a scrapbook then headed home.  We were home by 3:00 and went to work on the house.  Marvin took care of the yard and I tackled the inside.  I cooked hamburger steak, grilled onions and mushrooms, and a salad and Marvin finished up weedeating just in time for supper.  The kids were perfect all day and we really got a lot accomploished.  No pictures but all  in all a wonderful day!!!
