Power Outage

On a side note today we were supposed to have our house shown at 4:00 so I laid the kids down for a nap early so I could clean and get the house ready. They were tired from VBS so they went down without any convincing. About thirty minutes into it we had a rough storm come through and knocked out our power along with a good bit of North Greenwood. When the kids woke up and the house was dark and quiet I explained to them our electricity was out while they sat on the sofa eating their snack. I explained to them that everything that was plugged into the wall would not work when the power is out like the refrigerator and stove and lights and so on... Camden looked at me when I finished and said "so just tell me Mama, will the TV work or not?". That girl cracks me up.

On a much more somber note Marvin's 17 year old cousin was killed in an automobile accident in Collierville yesterday. We will be going to the celebration of her life on Saturday. Please say a prayer for the family of Courtney Sheffield she leaves behind two sisters and two precious parents. I can't begin to imagine what they feel. After losing Daddy and 3 of my grandparents I thought I knew what loss was but the moment Camden was placed in my arms I knew this was a different love than I'd ever experienced before. This feeling made God sending His son to die for me all the more amazing and powerful. Our days are numbered on this earth and only God knows the number. Cherish your family during the time you having with them.

VBS day 3

Today we were limited on outdoor time so we took the kids for a stroll in a neat stroller courtesy of the church daycare. We made airplane hats and a make-shift waterfall for the kids to crawl through. They are getting into the songs more during worship times and actually trying to do all of the motions. I'm so proud of their progress.

VBS day 2

Today we had fun outside with side walk chalk and balloons and bubbles. We discussed all of the neat creatures and wonders of the world that God created for us to enjoy.

Neil

He really likes Camden's pink glasses and for some reason I think he looks like Elton John especially when he wears them upside down.

VBS -2012 day 1

This year at vacation Bible school the theme is amazing wonders aviation. I have the one's and two's and it's a great group of children. I'm so blessed to be a part of teaching Gods's word to His most precious creations. Here are a few pics from today.

Patriotic Play

This year the children's school play was a patriotic theme. They were so cute and Camden decided to give Marvin and I a big shout out in the middle of it when she spotted us. I know it was just a preschool play but I my heart was so full of joy I could hardly contain myself.
Love these two!

coming to watch their cousins

Mother's Day at the Circus

Barnum & Bailey circus came to Tupelo on Sunday so we took the kids. Stacy & Allen their babies and Nana & Pop Pop and Aunt Haley came too! We had a blast and Marvin and I stopped at a park with the kids on the way home.

We went an hour early so we could be a part of the small ring-side show. The kids got to interact with the performers and see elephants up close and personal.

I'm so happy my babies are close in age this is allowing us to experience so many things with both of them together.

Mother's Day Weekend

My Mother's Day actually started Saturday. Marvin had to work so the kids and I went to Grenada to Mamas bookstore. Her shopping center was having a "picnic" day with lots of drawings and give-aways. Mama has several authors and artists there doing crafts and signing books. One lady was doing water color paintings with the children so Camden and Neil got to paint their first water-color painting. Mama took them to the frame shop next door and had them matted and framed!!!!

Then we came home and grilled out with Gramma and Granddaddy and Uncle John. Marvin had the kids being me flowers and a sweet card.

Sunday morning Marvin let me sleep in which felt like heaven and then we started getting ready to head to Tupelo for the circus!!!

Fair Reunion-Part Two

I found some more pictures from the Fair sisters reunion back in March and wanted to post them.
